Paris ain't a bad place to be...

Here we go again: AC/DC in Paris - my second concert !

Well what a day ! The weather was beautfiul, sunny and so hot. I still got my red nose for souvenir... but the main memory is of course the band on stage !

After a long waiting under the sun, the stress because of the bad organisation (as always), drunk and dumb people... it's time to enter the stadium.
Got a correct spot along the middle stage at about 30m from the stage.

Two Support Acts: Café Bertrand & The Answer.
It was ok but I didn't pay much attention I was just waiting for the boys !

The stadium which contains 80000 people is sold out (f*ck!ng awesome), the golden pit is full and all the little devils are ready to rock.

9.00 PM - here they are !
The animation on big screens and the train is about to enter.
Everybody got insane and it was a constant fight to keep the spot.

No surprise for the setlist except for Dog Eat Dog (good to hear this song live though).
Rock n Roll Train, Hell Ain't a Bad Place To be, Back In Black, Big Jack, Dirty deeds done dirt cheap, Shot Down in Flames, Thunderstruck, Black Ice, The Jack, Hells Bells, Shoot to thrill, War Machine, Dog Eat Dog, Anything Goes, You Shook Me all night long, TNT, Whole lotta Rosie, Let There Be Rock, Highway To Hell, For Those About To Rock
.

The best moments for me were:
Hell Ain't a Bad Place To be, Dirty deeds done dirt cheap (can't get enough of this song), Thunderstruck (incerdible intro) , The Jack (always a good live and Angus's strip ^^) and TNT (impressive to hear & see 80000 people screaming oi oi oi oiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii)

Too bad they didn't add more songs or change the setlist.
Anyway it was a hard concert (physically) because everydoy pushed and it was not easy to keep the place or having a good stage view.
Impossible to move or even breathe because of the crowd.

And for those about to rock, especially my friends, I salute you !

Black Ice made us sweat !

AC/DC stopped their Rock N Roll train in Belgium for two dates, unfortunately the second date (today) is cancelled (!)

Antwerp 01.03.2009 - THE concert I've been waiting for sooo long ! My first AC/DC show !
And I admit I'm a lucky bastard !
Support Act - The Answer

After a few waiting hours, the doors open at 6.30 PM. Time to get the right place at the right time !
And got a good spot next to the middle stage on the left side and stuck to the barricade !!
The stage set-up is outstanding !

The arena got full pretty fast and all the little devils are ready.
Not so long to wait now and the worst is behind us.

8 PM: The Answer enters the stage for a 30 min performance.
Their music is ok and they were good onstage but to be honnest I didn't pay too much attention, I waited the Australian boys with so much impatience ;o)

And finally...

8.50 PM - Lights down, the crazy train enters and all the passengers go insane !
Amazing intro with animated cartoon. Really well done and pure rock & roll !
It's ready to go, they jumped off the train and started with Rock N Roll train followed by Hell Ain't A Bad Place To Be and the great Back In Black.
The band is in a very good mood, they move and jump everywhere around the stage.

They played 5 or 6 songs from their new album Black Ice... War Machine sounds very good live.
And of course their classic songs: Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, Thunderstruck (excellent intro), The Jack (with a brilliant and sexy Angus's strip-tease), Shoot To Thrill, TNT, Whole Lotta Rosie and Let There Be Rock (outstanding guitar solo) !

To finally last with Highway To Hell (we were already in) and For Those About To Rock.

So it's time for them to go back in the train but we're already all waiting for the next stop.

It was a very good concert, these boys still rock after all these years. Angus is a Guitar God and Brian is an amazing performer !
Lights, stage set-up, special effects, big screens, everything was outstanding !

Looking forward to see them in Paris and... Let There Be Rock !
